Hubballi: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said, “Baburao Chinchansur had come from the Congress and is going back there and hence there is no loss to the BJP due to this.

Speaking to the mediapersons in front of his residence in Hubballi here, he said, “Our party’s organisation is already good in Gurumathakal Constituency. The BJP will win the Gurumathkal seat. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will arrive in the State on Friday March 24. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive on Saturday March 25. Amit Shah will tour again on Sunday March 26, he said.

On allegations that the BJP was playing with the emotional issues of the people, he said, “There is an attempt to hide history. Not only in Urigowda’s case but in several cases, the truth has been concealed. If we tell the truth, they will not be able to bear it. When the truth is found out, everything will come out and there will be victory,” he said, adding that he had spoken about the strike by transport employees and their demands have been fulfilled.

He said, “I have discussed and resolved with the leaders of the leading organisations, in addition to congratulating them as they have withdrawn the strike.

“I have spoken to a major organisation and there is no question of going on strike,” he said.
