Kasargod: In a tragic incident, a man lost his life after falling from a railway bridge into the river. The incident occurred near Shiriya, Kumble.
The deceased has been identified as Ananth (40) a resident of the Bedadka village in the Kasargod district.
Reportedly, Ananth was sitting on the Shiriya bridge with his relatives when he accidentally fell into the river.
The body was found after a search operation by locals, firefighters and police personnel. After the body was recovered the Kumble police conducted their preliminary investigation and collected information from the people present.
The dead body was then sent to the Kasaragod General Hospital for a post-mortem, after which it was handed over to the family members.
