Kasargod: In a tragic bike-car collision in Karadka of Muliyar on Monday, January 6, a couple died on the spot.
The deceased are identified as Govind Raj (53), owner of a saloon, and Umavathi (42). They were plying on the motorbike.
The collision occurred at around 11 am when a car rammed into the bike. The couple died instantly as a result of the impact and their bike was dragged several meters under the Innova.
Reports have suggested that the accident was caused due to overspeeding by the Innova’s driver.
The Adhur Police reached the spot, assessed the situation and moved the bodies to the Kasargod General Hospital for postmortem.
The police have confirmed that the deceased were from Tamil Nadu and were residing in Karadka.
