Accident on Udyavar Road: MLA and Locals Step In to Assist Injured

A car accident occurred in Udyavar when the driver lost control while traveling from Udupi to Padubidri, hitting the divider. Kaup MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty, who was en route to Kaup, noticed the incident and quickly intervened. He, along with social worker Nithyananda Volakadu, organized transportation for the injured to the hospital. Assistance also came from BJP zone president Jitendra Shetty and local residents, who contributed to the rescue efforts.

The car was carrying five passengers, all residents of Mumbai, who were heading to Padubidri to attend a religious function. Unfortunately, two of the passengers sustained serious injuries and have been admitted to a private hospital in Manipal for treatment.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine the cause of the driver’s loss of control.
