Air India Express flight returns to Bengaluru due to technical snag
An Air India Express flight from Bengaluru to Visakhapatnam was forced to return shortly after takeoff on Saturday due to a technical issue, officials confirmed. Departing at 10 a.m., the aircraft circled the skies before heading back to Bengaluru airport as a precautionary measure. Authorities clarified it was not an emergency landing.
“The flight returned due to technical problems, but no emergency was declared,” an official stated. The airline has yet to release an official comment.
This incident follows a similar occurrence earlier this month, where a Singapore-bound Air India flight returned to Chennai mid-air after pilots detected a technical issue. The Chennai flight, carrying around 170 passengers, landed safely, with passengers and crew unharmed. The airline quickly arranged alternative travel to minimize delays.
While technical snags are rare, these occurrences highlight the importance of safety-first protocols. Both incidents underline Air India’s commitment to passenger safety, ensuring timely responses to unforeseen challenges.
