
Asia Dominates Global Airport Rankings with Top 3 Spots
At the 2025 Skytrax World Airport Awards, hosted at the Passenger Terminal EXPO in Madrid on April 9, Singapore Changi Airport reclaimed the crown as the world’s top airport, continuing its legacy with a 13th win. This prestigious UK-based aviation survey rated Doha’s Hamad International Airport second and Tokyo’s Haneda Airport third, placing Asia firmly at the top of global airport standards.
Singapore’s iconic airport also won awards for offering the best dining experiences, the cleanest washrooms, and was named Asia’s best airport. CEO Yam Kum Weng of Changi Airport Group expressed deep appreciation to both travelers and airport staff, adding that the honour motivates the team to elevate the travel journey further. “As global travel expands, we are excited to welcome passengers to Changi’s unique experience,” he said.
Hamad International Airport, previously thrice awarded the top global honour, was also recognised for leading airport shopping and as the best in the Middle East. It handled an estimated 50–60 million travellers in the past year.
Tokyo Haneda Airport, managing over 70 million passengers, claimed titles for the cleanest major airport, best domestic operations, and top accessibility facilities.
