
Autorickshaw Driver and Passenger Injured in Head-On Collision at Kaup

Two individuals, including autorickshaw driver Poornesh and passenger Noor Saheb, were injured in a head-on collision between a car and an autorickshaw near the Mosque Junction in Kaup on Saturday night. The car was reportedly traveling from Kerala to Udupi, while the autorickshaw was on its way to Polipu from Kaup market.
Both vehicles suffered significant damage in the accident. The injured were immediately taken to a private hospital in Udupi for treatment. The collision also caused a brief disruption to traffic on National Highway 66.
Kaup police quickly arrived at the scene, managing the situation and restoring normal traffic flow.
