29 Ministers in CM Bommai’s Cabinet alloted In-Charge Districts

Bengaluru: In all 29 Cabinet berths have been filled by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai with the oath-taking ceremony held in the City on Wednesday, August 4.

After the ceremony, in a cabinet meeting, CM entrusted the responsibility of districts in the State to the MLAs and MLCs inducted into the Cabinet. The distribution was done in the wake of the looming Covid and flood situation in all the districts and the need to control the same. Task Force too has been again set up for Covid control and to face disaster with full preparedness.

Here are the District In-Charge Ministers and District allotted to them. Shivamogga MLA S. Eshwarappa has been appointed as In-charge Minister of Shivamogga, while Mudhol MLA Govind Karajol has been appointed as In-Charge Minister of Belagavi. Bengaluru Urban has been entrusted to Padmanabha Nagar MLA R Ashok, while Hirekerur MLA B. C. Patil and Malleswaram MLA Dr. C. N. Ashwath Narayan get to oversee Haveri and Ramanagara, respectively.

Further, Hukkeri MLA Umesh V l. Katti has been made Bagalkot In-Charge Minister with Yeshwantjpura MLA S. T. Somashekar being made Mysuru and Chamarajanagara In-Charge Minister.

Former Health Minister Chikkaballapur MLA Dr. K. Sudhakar has been made In-Charge of the district Chikkaballapur itself with Davanagere entrusted to K. R. Puram MLA Byrati Basavaraj. Bilagi MLA Murugesh R. Nirani will oversee Kalaburagi as District In-Charge Minister whereas Yellapura MLA Shivaram Hebbar has been made Uttara Kannada In-Charge Minister. K. R. Pete MLA K. C. Narayana Gowda takes charge as Mandya In-Charge Minister, while the lone woman inducted into Cabinet Nippani MLA Shashikala Jolle gets to oversee Vijayapura District.

The first-timer in the Cabinet Karikala MLA Sunil Kumar becomes Udupi District In-Charge Minister while Sullia MLA S. Angara will look after Dakshina Kannada with MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary being made In-Charge Minister Of Kodagu. Theerthahalli MLA Araga Jnanedra has been made the In-Charge Minister of Chikmagalur and R. R. Nagar MLA Munirathna will oversee Kolar District.

Further, MLC M. T. B. Nagaraj gets to oversee Bengaluru Rural, Mahalakshmi Layout MLA S. Gopalaiah, Madhugiri MLA J. C. Maadhuswamy and Yelburha MLA Halappa Achar will be the In-Charge Ministers of Hassan, Tumkuru and Koppala, respectively.

While Navalgund MLA Shankar Patil Munenakoppa has been entrusted Dharwad, Aurad MLA Prabhu Chavan and Govindarajanagar MLA V. Somanna get to supervise Districts, Bidar and Raichur, respectively. Hosapete MLA Anand Singh has been given the responsibility of Ballari and Vijayanagara with Nargund MLA C. C. Patil, Tipturu MLA B. C. Nagesh and Molakalmuru MLA B. Sriramulu being made In-Charge Ministers of Gadaga, Yadgiri and Chitradurga Districts, respectively.
