Annual Karaga will be symbolic this year too

Bengaluru: Like 2020, this year also annual Karaga festival will be celebrated symbolically in the city.

This year, the Karaga festival will be celebrated between April 19 and 27. The festival will be celebrated at the Dharmaraya Swamy temple in Tigalara Pete of the city.

A decision on celebrating the Karaga symbolically was taken in a meeting chaired by the BBMP special commissioner Gaurav Gupta. In the meeting, it was decided to follow all the SoPs prescribed by the state government to contain the spread of the Covid – 19. If the rules were relaxed after April 20, the BBMP will review the present decision.

Karaga is one of the important festivals celebrated in the city. Lakhs of people follow this festival.
