Bengaluru: Following a drastic reduction in the number of Covid 19 cases in the city, the BBMP decided to return 30% of the beds in private hospitals. However, 20% of the seats continues to be reserved for the BBMP quota patients.
A decision in this regard was taken by BBMP on Thursday June 10 after a review meeting.
All these days, 50% of the beds in the city private hospitals were reserved for the patients referred by the BBMP.
According to the authorities, in the last one week, less than 200 patients are admitted to the private hospital under BBMP quota. In private hospitals over 11,000 beds are notified as the BBMP beds. With sudden drop in the number of cases, BBMP decided to release 30% of the beds back to the hospital managements.
However, there will not be any reduction in the beds reserved in the government hospitals.
