BBMP sets up 7,000 bed capacity COVID19 care center at BIEC on Tumakuru road

Bengaluru: The BBMP which is getting ready for a prolonged war against the Covid 19 has set up a Coviid 19 care center with a 7,000 bed capacity at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) on Tumakuru road.

BBMP joint commissioner Narasimha Murthy who is supervising the project revealed that five halls of this center will be used for the Covid 19 care.

Once this becomes operational, this center will be the biggest such facility in the entire state.

It can be recalled that already the BBMP has converted the Koramangala national games village stadium and the Kanteerava indoor stadium into Covid 19 centers with 500 bed capacity.

The BBMP is planning more Covid 19 care centers following  the rising outbreak in this infectious disease.
