Bengaluru: Chairman of the Bangalore Development Authority, S R Vishwanath has recommended a probe by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) into the scams in the BDA since 1985.
Vishwanath, a BJP MLA from Yalahanka, met Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa in this regard and later informed that the Authority has been rocked by thousands of scams and a few vested interests made a lot of money.
It can be recalled that recently, the BDA's intelligence wing raided a parallel fake BDA office run by a few officials where several important documents were seized.
"For the last 35 years, a lot of corruption occurred in the authority. There is an urgent need to improve its image so, an SIT investigation is required," he stated.
