Bengaluru: Former chief minister and JD (S) leader H. D. Kumaraswamy alleged that exposing of the bed-blocking scam in Bengaluru was nothing but a cover up for the Chamarajanagar incident by the BJP.
Speaking to media persons on Wednesday May 5, Kumaraswamy said that it was BJP’s diversionary tactic. It is a shame that when huge number of people are suffering due to pandemic, the state government which has to protect people is blaming a particular community for bed-blocking scam using their MP and MLA and playing religion politics, he stressed.
He observed that the government is trying to cover its mistake in Chamarajanagar incident by alleging that 4,000 beds were illegally blocked. What did you get by creating panic among people as problem of getting beds in the city has not been solved yet, he expressed his anger. Coming down heavily on Congress party, HDK said tha if the Congress had constructed a 30-bed hospital in every gram panchayat limits in 70 years of their administration, such a situation would not have arisen in the first place.
