Bengaluru: Primary and secondary education minister S Suresh Kumar warned against starting offline classes for the children studying between Class I-V.
“We issued permission for offline classes only for the students above Class VI. The education department will initiate action if any school is found violating the government decision by launching classes for the lower-class students,” he warned.
Earlier in the day health minister Dr K Sudhakar tweeted that a few schools are holding offline classes for children between I and VI which is against the government decision. He had warned that such a violation may result in Covid 19 second wave.
In his reply Suresh Kumar made it clear that no school is allowed to start offline classes for children up to class V.
