Bengaluru: The Karnataka Textbook Society (KTBS) has formed a committee to look into the errors in the revised state syllabus textbooks. This committee will issue a corrigendum by Saturday.

According to a decision taken by the Society, following the large-scale complaints by the parents, students and teachers over spelling errors, factual errors and other mistakes, this committee has been formed. It can be recalled that a textbook review committee headed by Prof. Baraguru Ramachandrappa had reviewed these textbooks.

Meanwhile, society has decided to initiate action against printers for technical errors like blank pages, errors in the page number, binding errors, pages being upside down etc.

Meanwhile, Baraguru Ramachandrappa has stated that it is not for the first time mistakes were reported in the textbooks. “Corrigendum were issued earlier too,” he stated.

On PV Sindhu’s medal controversy, Ramachandrappa informed that mistake was reported only in English medium text books and not in Kannada.
