Bengaluru: Former MP, MLA and minister Jayaprakash Hegde will head the Karnataka State Backward Classes Commission.
An order in this regard was issued by the state government on Monday, November 23.
Hegde earlier belonged to the JD(S) party after which he switched loyalties and joined the Congress. He then jumped to the BJP.
He has been accommodated as the head of this commission, which plays an important role in the state’s policy matters.
