Bengaluru: The state endowment department issued permission to start car festivals and other special puja services in the temples.

Since March last week of 2020, car festivals were banned across the state as a precautionary measure against Covid 19 spread.

As per the order, the car festivals shall be conducted according to the conditions stipulated by the local district administrations.

Hundreds of car festivals are lined up in the month of March, April and May. The government order will now enable the temple managements to hold the annual festivals after a year gap.

The government has taken this decision as there is no second wave in sight.
