Bengaluru: The Kannada Development Authority (KDA) led by film director TS Nagabharana issued notices to 100 officers for failing to implement Kannada in the administration and further corresponding in non-Kannada languages.
All the notices have been sent to the state government and given three months time to the officials to rectify the same and respond to the notices.
It is for the first time, the Kannada authority served notice to such a huge number of officials. Most of the officials who have been served notice are from all India service cadres.
“The notices have been sent to various department heads. If the officials do not respond within three months, we will recommend for disciplinary action,” said Nagabharana.
He also informed that notices have been served to various central government agencies and departments for failing to follow the Kannada norms in their day today administration.
