dk suresh 19102020Ramanagara: Responding to JD(S) leader and former chief minister Kumaraswamy’s criticism of KPCC chief D K Shivakumar and his brother on Sunday, MP D K Suresh, the latter said that there is no need to criticise HDK as their job is to build the Congress party.

He was speaking to the media persons at the Congress office during an election campaign for Praveen Peter who is the Congress candidate for the biennial election to the Karnataka Legislative Council.

It can be recalled that HDK had criticised the DK brothers calling them “slow poisoners”. On Thursday, he had claimed that the Congress was trying to lure JD(S) party workers ahead of the by-elections.

The Ramanagara district as now become a battleground for the DK Brothers and Kumaraswamy. For many years, the Ramanagara district was in the hands of the JD(S). Now, however, some JD(S) activists are moving to the Congress party, prompting a concerned H D Kumaraswamy to lash out at the DK brothers.

Suresh then urged the teachers of the district to support Praveen Peter, who is contesting the Bengaluru Central Teachers’ constituency.

Suresh criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement regarding India’s development over the past six years and claimed that India’s position is actually falling in every index. Poverty, malnutrition, unemployment, economic collapse is at the highest rate. But people are being provoked with emotional issues. I am confident that the people will be careful hereafter, he said.

Congress leaders like C M Lingappa, Magadi Balakrishna and others were present.
