Bengaluru: BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel has stated that Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa will complete his term as the Chief Minister. “There is no change in the CM. BSY will lead the party in the 2023 election too,” he told reporters in Chikkaballapur on Sunday late evening.
He also informed that the party national leadership will take a decision on the cabinet expansion.
He also made it clear that the BJP will not cheat the 17 MLAs who quit JDS and Congress to help the BJP form government in Karnataka. “All the 17 will get cabinet berths as promised before the formation of the state government,” he said.
Kateel, who is visiting all the districts over the last few days interacted with party leaders on the upcoming Grama Panchayat elections. There have been speculations on change of guard in the state. This has been laid to rest with the party’s chief giving a clarification.
