Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the silver jubilee celebrations of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), on Monday at 11 am.
He will also launch the year long programmes planned by the university to mark the celebrations.
Later at 12.15 am, the stage programme of the event will start in which Abhijat Sheth, President, National Board of Examinations will be the chief guest.
First VC of the university Dr S Kanta will deliver a lecture on the Covid 19.
Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar informed that the university started inter-disciplinary studies in the health sector by joining hands with various elite technological firms.
“The idea is to make the health care affordable for all,” he said.
He also informed that presently over 2.5 lakh students are studying in the RGUHS affiliated institutes. “RGUHS
