Bengaluru: Transfer season is often termed as the golden months for lobbyists who have close links in the power corridors of the state. Last year, the state government did not conduct annual routine transfer process citing that the move may affect the drought relief works. But this year the state government, which was under huge pressure from party insiders, the legislators finally issued notification regarding routine transfer process. This is the final transfer process under the present government.

According to the gazette notification issued on Wednesday, June 15 is the last date to complete the process. All the transfers will be done as per the 2014 guidelines.

Minimum service period prescribed for the A, B and C group officials is two years while it is seven years for group D employees.
Incidents of terminal ill, officials close to retirement and couple applications will be given priority while transferring the officials.

It is said that the sources, except group A and B, all other category officials will be transferred through counseling process.

“Different departments have prepared separate transfer software as per the departmental requirement,” said an officer from DPAR.
