State government increases upper age limit for SI recruitment

KSP M 2952020Bengaluru: In a big relief to the aspirants of the police sub inspector posts, the state government increased the maximum age limit by 2 years for all the categories.

Home minister Basavaraja Bommai made the announcement.

“The state cabinet has already approved the proposal,” he said.

According to new rules, the maximum age for the general category has been increased from existing 28 years to 30. For SC/ST and OBC the age limit has been increased from 30 to 32 years.

This is one of the key demands of the police job aspirants.

The home department is likely to start the new SI recruitment process soon in accordance with the new rules.
