State government’s new treatment Protocol: COVID19 asymptomatic patients to be treated at home?
Bengaluru: The state government will announce a new COVID 19 treatment protocol today. According to sources, as per the new treatment protocol, COVID 10 asymptomatic patients will be provided with treatment at their residence.
Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa held a marathon meeting with the senior public health experts and the hospital heads on Wednesday. In the meeting, experts advised that there is no need to bring the asymptomatic patients to the hospital. This will bring down the pressure on the hospitals, they advised.
Now keeping this in mind, the state government will announce the new protocol. The government is likely to make the availability and use of the pulse oximeter compulsory for the patients who test positive for COVID 19 if they prefer treatment at home.
