State govt. serves notice to 3,000 employees for not reporting to Covid 19 duty

Bengaluru: The state government issued notices to 3,000 staff of various departments for not reporting to COVID 19 duty in the Bengaluru west zone.

According to the authorities, a total of 6,000 staff were deputed for duty in the West zone. However, only 3,500 of them turned up for the duty. Now the state government decided to initiate action against them for not reporting to the duty.

Bengaluru is reporting a huge surge in COVID 19 cases and fatalities since July the first week.

Meanwhile, the BBMP also decided to give Rs,2,000 bonus for the Poura Karmikas across the city. The idea is encouraging them to turn up for the duty and recognition for their service.

It can be rec called that a total of 101 pourakarmikas are tested positive for COVID 19 till now
