Bengaluru: MLC, senior Congress leader BK Hariprasad alleged that the state government is using the drug peddling case to cover up its failures, especially with regard to tackling the Covid-19 crisis and corruption in the Covid-19 medical equipment procurements.
Speaking to reporters in the city, he alleged that both state and central governments are busy doing ‘headline management’.
“At national-level, bollywood news and in Karnataka sandalwood news are used to ffectively cover up the failures of the governments,” he charged.
He alleged that party leader BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan is targetted because he is a muslim leader.
“The BJP is communalising all the developments. It wanted to divert attention of the people from the real issues,” he charged.
