State reports 141 cases, one death; Tally rises to 2,922, toll to 49

corona test 30052020Bengaluru: Karnataka, on Saturday, May 30, reported 141 new COVID-19 cases, including one death. This takes the state’s tally to 2,922 and death toll to 49.

According to the bulletin released by the state health department, the death has been reported. The bulletin states that the patient, a 47-year-old woman, was diagnosed with an influenza-like illness with a history of paralysis for the past eight years. She was bed-ridden and had hypertension and convulsions. She was admitted to a hospital on May 24 and died on May 28. Her tests came back positive today.

The break-up of today’s cases in the state are: Bengaluru Urban (33), Yadagir (18), Udupi (13), Dakshina Kannada (14), Vijayapura (11), Bidar (10), Shivamogga (6), Davenagere (4), Haveri (4), Kolar (3), Mysuru (2), Uttara Kannada (2), Kalaburagi (2), Dharwad (2), Chitradurga (1), Belagavi (1), Tumakuru (1), Bengaluru Urban (1).

Of the 2,922 cases, 49 are deaths, two are non-COVID caused deaths and 997 discharges.

As many as 15 people all over the state are being treated in the ICU.
