ASHA workers on COVID-19 duty attacked at Kudachi in Belagavi

asha mBelagavi: After Bengaluru, the ASHA workers were assaulted in Kudachi town in Belagavi district, while  collecting details of Nizamuddin Markaz primary links.

It has been alleged that Asha activists were attacked in two places in the town, following which the activists carried out a flash protest against assault on them.

Kudachi police registered a case in this regard and arrested five persons in connection with the incident.

It has been alleged that incident happened when these Asha works were on a door-to-door inspection in Kudachi town after four Covid 19 positive cases were reported here.

The accused allegedly destroyed the data collected by the Asha workers.

Police informed that they arrested five persons in connection with the incident, who have all been sent for judicial custody.
