The victims, Raju Kanthappa Kolasoor (28) and his wife Sharada (24), hailed from Jafarawadi village and were on their way to Mumbai when the tragic event unfolded.
The murder is suspected to have been orchestrated by Dattatreya Wale and Tukaram Chitampalle, who reportedly believed that Raju was involved in an illicit affair with Dattatreya’s sister. According to police sources, the couple was deceitfully lured by a phone call, allegedly from the woman in question, and invited to Kohinur Pahad.
