BJP Retains L Nagendra & Niranjan Kumar as Key Leaders
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has reaffirmed L Nagendra as the president of the Mysuru city unit and Niranjan Kumar as the leader for the Chamarajanagar district unit. However, the appointments for the heads of Mysuru Rural, Mandya, and Hassan districts are still to be finalized. Both Nagendra and Kumar were personally chosen by state unit president BY Vijayendra shortly after he assumed his role. Nagendra previously served as the MLA for the Chamaraja constituency, while Kumar held the MLA seat for Gundlupet. Both leaders are strong allies of Vijayendra and former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa. Party insiders reveal that their selection was unanimous during the Sanghatana Parva, a recent campaign for new office bearers.
Indresh Kumar, the current Mandya district unit president, confirmed that the election process for his district is complete, with the final decision on the new leader expected soon. Nagendra, in his role as Mysuru city unit head, expressed his goal of securing victory across all four assembly constituencies within the city. “Our team will collaborate towards this aim,” he said, emphasizing that no individual surpasses the party’s collective efforts. He stressed the need to focus on capturing Chamundeshwari and Narasimharaja constituencies in the upcoming elections. Nagendra also encouraged party workers to spread awareness of the central government’s accomplishments. The event was attended by former mayors, senior party leaders, and key functionaries.
