
Burglary during Christmas Mass: gold and cash stolen in Shiradi

Thieves targeted the residence of Thangacchan in Addahole, Shiradi, on Tuesday night, stealing gold ornaments and cash valued at ₹2.46 lakh.
The burglary took place while Thangacchan and his family were attending Christmas Mass at a nearby church. Upon returning home, they were met with a distressing sight—the latch of their front door had been broken.
The thieves managed to make off with 42 grams of gold ornaments and ₹78,000 in cash.
The Uppinangady police have registered a case and are actively investigating the incident. Authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant, especially during festive occasions, to prevent such crimes.
