The Tata Group plans to recruit 4,000 women technicians from Uttarakhand for its components manufacturing and assembly facilities in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. This initiative is part of the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) and National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).
The Uttarakhand state planning department received a notification from Tata Group on Monday detailing the recruitment process. The drive aims to fill positions at Tata’s plants in Hosur (Tamil Nadu) and Kolar (Karnataka).
Eligibility Criteria:
- NAPS: Candidates must have completed Class 10 or 12.
- NATS: Candidates must have completed Class 10, Class 12, or hold ITI diplomas.

- Employment under the Apprenticeship Act of 1961
Selected technicians will operate sophisticated and automated machines in precision electronics assembly, with roles including operating machinery under supervision. The recruitment will involve tests to ensure the best candidates are chosen for the roles.
