Mysore: The 127-year old Cosmopolitan Club gets its guest rooms renovated in record time. Addressing media persons here on Wednesday, Vinay Shankar, CEO, Nakhsha Builders, said “The project was completed in just 67 days. The renovated building houses eight guest rooms including six premiums and two luxuries. The renovated guest house, which was inaugurated by Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar is all set to welcome club members and guests from across the country. It can be brought to light that with the completion of renovation, the Cosmopolitan Club is all set to welcome members and guests from across the country to experience memorable hospitality”.
The Club was established in 1895 by benevolence of Sardar M Kantharaje Urs, then Dewan of erstwhile kingdom of Mysore, who bestowed prime land of over four acres. It was a time when Mysore Kingdom was under the suzerainty of British, who started the club culture mainly for relaxation of their officers and families. Expressing happiness over early completion, Vinay Shankar, said the project has eight rooms of which six are premium and two luxuries. We have introduced Indian contemporary with a heritage look to retain old glory”.
The new building has modern amenities to pamper guests. “We provided end to end solutions keeping in mind history of the club. We utilized existing space effectively to provide a modern outlook without hampering the heritage,” added Pratibha Nayak, COO, Nakhsha Builders.
