Priest Fr Ronald Coutinho blesses Sunshine Sapling groundbreaking ceremony
Mangaluru: The foundation stone of Sunshine Sapling, the first project of Sapling Properties and Facilities Pvt. Ltd., a well-known construction company, was laid at Bajpe on Tuesday February 19.
Samanvaya Director and Priest Fr. Ronald Coutinho, who was one of the guest spoke and said that, “A good building is possible only when the Almighty God blesses, as envisioned by the Bible. Everyone is curious about the construction of this building. Sunshine Sapling as the name suggests, this is the Sunshine of Sapling. Similarly, we hope that the seed of the building that we have planted will grow into a great institution. The area will get value through this building,” he added.
“Those who intend to build a good building build using quality materials. The lifespan of such buildings remain good. But buildings made using minimal quality materials have limited life span and poor work puts everyone at risk,” he noted.
He praised the efforts of The Sunshine Sapling Company for taking the initiative to build a building of the highest quality and excellent design in the region.
President of CREDAI Mangaluru Pushparaj Jain who was the Chief Guest said, “The groundbreaking ceremony for the sunshine building was held at an auspicious time. Let the building be constructed and be a contribution to the society. May it be a gift to all those who wish to build a good house. In this regard, I would like to thank the Managing Director and the members for their hard work. A good area has been chosen for the construction of the building. The company’s motto is to conduct business with good thinking/purposeful thinking and is an example for everyone. On the way from Mangaluru to this place, it is heartening to see this lication. On one side is the 6-lane Highway, and on the other side of the Airport Road, they have purchased land and constructing the building.”
“Saldanha, a well-known Architect from Mangaluru, has an international design and I also want to buy a house. It is a mirror to excellent architecture. The fact that the residential parts are placed in the back, commercial complexes in the front is a testimony to the experience of building design. Let your company rise to the top through this building. It is a great thing to call the priests and lay the foundation stone. If you do anything, the mind and the heart should be united. It is an act of touching the hearts of the people with the blessings of the clergy. Under the guidance of your team member CA Valerian Dalmaida, there is no question of the company and the industry losing,” he added.
Further he said, “It is a good sign that the lamp which was lighted at the event has even lit even when there was a strong wind. This is an indication that the company’s name will shine in country and abroad.”
“The Budget of the country and the State is conducive to development and infrastructure. GST collections have contributed to the infrastructure sector. The roads of the country have become the largest road. Mangaluru – Moodabidri Airport Road is being developed. The outer rings areas need to be developed rather than urban-centric development. Sunshine is a sapling offering in this regard. Bajpe, Thokottu and Vamanjoor are also on the path of development. Coming out of the City and constructing a building on the outskirts will also be a driving force for other construction companies to construct the building,” he said.
Director of Sunshine Sapling Institute Alvin Crasta said, “I was born and brought up in Bajpe and my education was also done here. At the age of 16, I moved to Mumbai. After 8 years, I moved from Mumbai to the Gulf country for a better opportunity. I have been living there for the last 25 years. But for a long time I was thinking about what I could contribute to the development of Mangaluru.”
“I have worked in some of the world’s greatest companies in the financial sector. In this regard, when i consulted my wife to re-dedicate some of the points I got from the society to the society, she happily agreed and acted as the Managing Director of this construction company. She also is running the company efficiently. A sapling organisation is a socially committed organisation,” he said.
“There are few opportunities for the youth in Mangaluru. After graduation, you have to go to Bengaluru, Mumbai or abroad in search of a job. If such talent go far and wide, the development of Mangaluru will be hampered. Mangaluru is a trade, ans business complement City with road, water, air, and rail routes. But there is a lack of capital investment here. In this regard, Sapling Multi Ventures will do job creation work. Investment will create a conducive environment. The institute will work hard in this regard,” he added.
“We are thinking of constructing buildings in areas where there is a serene atmosphere, which is 30 minutes’ drive from the City,” he added.
“Everyone’s cooperation is essential in this regard. Such development activity will bring about a positive change in the society. It will also create opportunities for the creation of new entrepreneurs,” he added.
Business Consultant of the Firm CA Valerian Dalmaida, said, “We are emphasising horizontal development rather than vertical development. In this regard our first construction project has a unique concept. We chose the place where Alvin Crasta, the Director of our company, had grew up. Alvin had always dreamt of building a building in his hometown. Through this he had a longing to contribute to the place where he was born. Both of us went to the UAE in the 90s in search of a better job after studying. But he did not forget his hometown. The dream was to build affordable housing complexes for the people in rural areas around Mangaluru. The idea was that quality should also be superior. Alvin does not make a joint investment in the construction sector with anyone. They build it alone. Also he will never borrow a loan for this task. Their rule is that the interest rate will also go up if you take a loan. Such a commitment is also essential for the success of the construction sector,” he said.
“Areas like Bajpe, Kulai, and Surathkal should be developed. Then the pressure on Mangaluru City will be reduced,” he added.
“In the last 43 years, I have gained knowledge in various fields including international business, digital medium, accounting, finance, etc. which I am ready to donate here.
For the development of the society and the institution, many have put in a lot of effort. Praveen and Manjari of Saldanha Associates, a well-known architect, are with us. Carter Joseph has multiple levels of experience in building design and construction, including civil engineering, and has been guiding from time to time.
