Mangaluru: Replying to a tweet by a user who shared a message he received from an unknown number stating that his SBI account was blocked, along with a link to activate it, State Bank of India appreciated the alertness of the user and advised their customers not to respond to emails/SMS/calls/embedded links asking them to share their personal or banking details like user ID/Password/Debit Card number/PIN/VCC/OTP and so on.
They also said that details of hit type of phishing/smishing/vishing attempt can be send to the email report.phishing@sbi.co.in for the team to take action.
Users can also call on helpline number 155260 or contact local law enforcement agency to report the incident.
