Cafe in Japan asks for customers names and goals at entrance
In Tokyo’s bustling Koenji district, a new cafe is offering a creative solution for those struggling with procrastination. Content creator Maz recently showcased her visit to the Manuscript Writing Cafe, where the atmosphere and services are specifically designed to boost productivity. Upon entering, customers are asked to write their names and set clear goals for the work they aim to accomplish.
Throughout their visit, the cafe’s owner actively checks in every half hour to ensure they are staying focused. As an added incentive, those who remain on track receive sweet treats as rewards. Visitors are also required to sign a commitment agreement to stay until their work is completed, ensuring a distraction-free environment.
The cafe’s unique approach has gained widespread attention, particularly after Maz’s Instagram video went viral. The post quickly garnered thousands of views, sparking a flood of positive comments from viewers. One person expressed, “Omg, this is amazing! I need this in my life!” while another said, “Finally, a place where I can get things done.”
This creative idea seems to have struck a chord with many, proving that sometimes a little encouragement and a change of environment is all it takes to overcome procrastination.
Earlier, a rain-themed cafe in South Korea also captured the internet’s imagination, offering a calming, rainy-day ambiance year-round.
