Mangaluru: Mangalore University Youth Red Cross unit is actively using social media to raise awareness about the risks of the Covid-19 pandemic among the general public. Awareness is being increased about gossips and fake news related to the pandemic using posters and handouts, and facts are being provided.
Youth Red Cross members insist on personal hygiene and maintaining social distance to eradicate the pandemic. Information is being provided to the respective officials about fake news spreading and those who break lockdown rules. This campaign has reached even rural areas.
People appreciated the initiative taken by members of the Mangalore University Youth Red Cross with the guidance of Indian Red Cross district unit Dakshina Kannada.
