Mangaluru: “Of all the Vocations, the one that gives vigour forever to the mind is teaching. Information transformation alone is not the job of a teacher but the progression of the body, intellect and soul. The notion that one becomes a teacher when they don’t fit into any other profession can be admitted on the ground that when you don’t get what you love, you start valuing what you get and do justice to that profession. The reason behind respect to this field is not instilling the IQ but for the space created for Emotional Quotient (EQ) and Spiritual Quotient (SQ) by the teacher said Kajampady Subrahmanya Bhat, Senior RSS Functionary and Former All India Coordinator for Parivar Prabhodhan addressing the teachers during the valedictory function of the 3 days ‘Teacher Effective Training Programme’ held in Shakthi.

“A teacher owns the responsibility of contributing competent citizens to a healthy society. The teacher ought to visualise God in children, help them to reach greater heights and become an asset to the nation by inculcating social values and individual values in them” he added.

Sanjith Naik, Secretary of Shakthi Education Trust in his Presidential Address stated that “If we assume that we know it all and believe that we are masters of our subjects we will rust, just like any mechanical equipment whose oil is not changed on regular basis. This annual exercise of teacher training is very important from the point of view of a Team Building exercise, understanding the different dynamics of group behaviour and improving leadership skills”.

Dr. Shikaripura Krishnamurthy, Director, Abhiyanam, Organisation for Research and Training in HRD, Mangaluru was the resource person and trainer for 3 days and was present on stage.

Dr.K.C.Naik, Administrator, Ramesh K, Chief Advisor, Prakyath Rai, Institute Development Officer, Prof. T. Rajaram Rao Principal Shakthi PU College, Vidya Kamath G, Principal Shakthi Residential School, were present on this occasion along with 40 trainees of Shakthi Group of institutions.
