
Ceiling Plaster Falls in Chitradurga Hospital, No Injuries Reported
In a fortunate turn of events, a potentially dangerous incident occurred at the district hospital in Chitradurga on Sunday when part of the cement plaster from the ceiling of the IPP ward fell onto two beds. Fortunately, no patients were present in the beds at the time. One patient had gone for a blood test, and two others were in the bathroom.
The incident sheds light on the deteriorating condition of the hospital, with locals reporting that such occurrences are not uncommon. Upon returning, the patients were shocked to find large chunks of concrete on their beds.
Although there were no injuries or fatalities, the event has sparked anger among patients and their attendants, who have criticized the hospital authorities for their negligence in maintaining the facility.
