Chamarajanagar: The Chamarajanagar district has made significant strides in providing the covid-19 vaccine, and has set a milestone by vaccinating more than 100,000 people. There are 2,97,000 people over the age of 45 in the district, and the district administration aimed to vaccinate all of them. There are 1,96,530 people between the age group of 45 to 59 and 1,00,470 people over the age of 60. As of Friday, April 10, a total of have been 1,01,586 people successfully vaccinated.
On the special interest of Deputy Commissioner Dr. M R. Ravi, the Covid vaccination program has started in 14 health sub-centers in the district.
DC Dr. M R Ravi said that the vaccine plays an important role in the fight against Corona. All over the age of 45 should come forward voluntarily to get the vaccine, which is the key to control the Covid surge, he stressed. He appealed to the people to cooperate with the Covid vaccination drive and join their hands in making the district Covid free.
