Land owner chops, buries dead elephant in well; Arrested

Chamarajanagar: Police have arrested a land owner who has been charged of killing an elephant which had come in search of food in Chamarajananagar on Tuesday December 22.
It has been reported that the elephant came in contact with an electric fence that was installed by the land owner. Panic-striken, he along with few workers cut the wild animal into pieces and buried in the unused well.

The incident occurred in Shilubepura in Jageri forest area in Kollegala.

Chinnappayya is the arrested who had put a fence to avoid wild animals entering his field.
