Healthy food, healthy skin

Health is wealth, and healthy skin could be a self-explanatory display for itself. There are a plethora of skin care products in the market right now that promise to give our skin the radiance, shine, anti-ageing, and smoothness that we all desire. However, rather than focusing on what you apply on your skin, one of the greatest ways to take care of it is to focus on what you eat.

According to a study, sugar and certain food processing methods (such as grilling, frying, baking, and so on), and dehydration are linked to skin aging. Nowadays, beauty can no longer be dissociated from health. Skin health is intertwined with nutrition.

Almonds contain 15 minerals, including vitamin E, magnesium, protein, copper, zinc, and iodine. According to new research, there may be more than one reason to include almonds in your regular skincare regimen. Almonds are rich in antioxidant vitamin E and include vital fatty acids and polyphenols, making them an excellent supplement to one’s regular diet for better skin health.

Vitamin C is also an excellent supplement for skin care. Oranges, lemons, broccoli, brussels, sprouts, strawberries, acerola, grapefruits, kiwi, raw red and green peppers, and guavas are rich in vitamin C. Vitamin E is found in nuts, seeds, vegetables, corn, soy, and margarine. The consumption of both has shown a reduction in the damage on skin due to UV rays.

Omegas are found in canola oil, cold-water fish, nuts, and seeds. They are anti-inflammatory and help in the structural stability of cells.

All of the body’s tissue cells are constantly renewed, and maintaining adequate tissue renewal and repair requires a proper protein intake. The skin is no exception, with a typical 28-day skin renewal cycle. Other protein-rich meals for healthy skin include yogurt lentils, and oats, which are high in protein.

However, the regular consumption of fruit and vegetables, rich in biologically active ingredients are an important pillar in skin beauty but it also helps to be more fit and healthy. After all, a woman wants just two things: good health and good vibes!
