Many people keep saying that they are going through stress! But when they are asked where is it coming from, they will either say “I don’t know” or “from everywhere”! Does it happen to you as well?

It is observed that most people find it difficult to recognize where the stress is coming from! But they continue to experience the stress! Sometimes they would experience a lot of frustration, anger, helplessness, irritability, fatigue, and so on, which impacts both their personal as well as professional lives!

Whenever you are stressed, you need to watch it and find out where it is coming from! Sometimes, it could be a stressor from an external agent, like your colleagues, partner, family members, or outside noise, traffic, and so on! Sometimes, it could be coming from within! Even when nothing has happened, the person may feel stressed because of one’s own apprehensions or imaginations! That could be called ‘self-imposed stress’.  No one is responsible for such stress, but yourself!

The stress of any kind, if it goes beyond a certain point, would be harmful to both physical and mental health. Hence, addressing it as early as possible is very much important. According to some statistics, nearly 70 percent of the employees in organizations are experiencing stress! This is a very huge number and hence has to be addressed by prioritizing it.

One more aspect that we also need to recognise is, stress is more like a silent killer. It doesn’t get to be recognised in the beginning! Later when it is recognised, it is in a significant stage, but the person will continue to bear with it as much as possible. Once it starts impacting the health itself, they start looking for solutions! Many people develop Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) because of extreme levels of stress! Hence, don’t be careless about stress. It is important to focus on self-care while progressing in your life!
