Baikadi Foundation organises ‘Vaagmi 2021’ online Kannada speech competition

Mangaluru: Baikadi Foundation has organized the ‘Vaagmi’ 2021 Speech Competition, which is dedicated to promote the art of speech. The competition was held in three categories – high school, college, and public, with more than 350 competitors from across the state and out of the state. 10 finalists from each category were selected for the final round.

For the high school section, the topic for the speech was ‘My Dream India’ Ashika Kela, Kundapur won first place. Vaishnavi Shetty, Siddapur came second, and Dhanya Bhatt. K. R., Bantwal won third place.

For College Section ‘The Role of Citizens in developing India’ was the topic Ananya J. Ullal, Suratkal, Raksha, Ujire, Anupama T., Puttur won the first, second and third place in the speech competition respectively.

For the public section, ‘India – Then, Today, Forward’ was the theme, and Swastik Kanyadi, Dharmasthala won first place. Triveni Kiran, Thokkottu, Ramakrishna K. S., Sullya won second and third places.

All participating contestants were given an e-testimonial, and the first prize winner of each category was awarded Rs. 2000 Cash and E-Testimonial, Second Prize winner Rs. 1000 cash and e-testimonial, third prize winners Rs. 500 in cash and e-testimonial. The competition was organized for the promotion of speech art among the students and the public.
