Celebration of 67th Independence Day at Mount Carmel

Mangalore: Mount Carmel Central School, Maryhill, Mangalore celebrated the 67th Independence Day of India on 15th August at 8.20 am on the school grounds. The Chief Guest of the day Rev. Sr. Ida Barboza A.C., the Joint Secretary of MCCS hoisted the National Flag. The students of Class IV – X marched rhythmically to the patriotic tunes played by the school band.

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

The Students of Class XI led a short and meaningful prayer service invoking Gods Blessings on our Country and its citizens and prayed for peace, prosperity and harmony. Ms. Safa Suleman of Class XI welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest to the audience, which was followed by a meaningful cultural programme put up by the students of UKG and Class IX.

The Chief Guest in her address motivated the students to imbibe the spirit of patriotism and to work for peace and unity and later for the betterment of the country. Mr. Preetham Correa and Ms. Abeer Althaf of Class XI compeered the programme and Ms. Rebecca Albuquerque of Class IX proposed the vote of thanks.

The administrator of the School Sr. Carissima A.C., Principal Sr. Melissa A.C. shared the dais along with Chief Guest. It was a meaningful and a festive day for the staff, students and parents at Mount Carmel.
