Mangaluru Resident Loses Rs 15 Lakh In Canadian Visa Fraud

Mangaluru: Herald D’Souza, a native of Mangaluru working as a sales executive in Kuwait, reported losing Rs 15 lakh in a Canadian visa fraud. Herald’s son,

Dominic Kishore D’Souza, transferred Rs 15 lakh to James D’Souza, who promised Canadian visas for Dominic and his wife. James had demanded Rs 30 lakh, requesting Rs 15 lakh immediately and the remaining amount after they reached Canada.

Between January and February, Dominic and a relative transferred the initial Rs 15 lakh to various bank accounts specified by James. James informed Dominic about an IELTS exam related to the visa on May 26, but later his contact number was switched off.

Subsequently, Dominic asked his father to file a complaint, and the Kavoor police have registered a case under various sections of the IPC.
