Kannada blockbuster Su From So, which has been making waves at the box office and earning acclaim from all quarters, has now piqued the interest of Bollywood star and producer Ajay Devgn.
Over the weekend, the film’s cast and crew travelled to Mumbai for a private screening attended by Devgn. A shared photo from the event shows the actor alongside filmmakers JP Thuminad and Raj B Shetty, smiling for the camera. Sources describe the meeting as more than just a casual viewing, hinting at early talks of a possible Hindi remake. “It’s too soon to confirm, but don’t be surprised if a remake announcement surfaces,” a source revealed.
Released amid competition from Saiyaara, Hollywood’s F1, and Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu, the film has held its own with a powerful storyline and emotional depth. Now in its third week, Su From So has grossed nearly ₹90 crore worldwide, surpassing Sudeep’s Max and Darshan’s Kateera, and is projected to cross ₹100 crore over the Independence Day weekend.
The movie has resonated strongly with audiences in Karnataka and gained traction in other states and overseas markets. Its blend of heartfelt emotions and humour has contributed to its mass appeal.
While facing upcoming competition from Rajinikanth’s Coolie and Hrithik Roshan–Jr NTR’s War 2, industry experts believe Su From So will continue its strong run, potentially overtaking Charlie 777 to become one of the highest-grossing Kannada films ever.
