Mumbai: Actor Arjun Rampal’s Mumbai residence was raided by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), on Monday (November 9) in connection with the Bollywood drug probe.
The move comes in close on the heel of a raid on residence of Bollywood producer Firoz Nadiadwala.
A driver working for Rampal has been detained by the NCB and brought to the office where he was being questioned by Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede and his team.
Incidentally, the building, Capri Heights, where Arjun Rampal lives is the same building where actor Sushant Singh Rajput used to live before he moved to the house where he was found dead.
It may be recalled that Agisialos Demetriades, brother of Arjun Rampal’s girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades was arrested by the NCB in another drug case last month.
The NCB, which is probing the Bollywood drug scandal has so far arrested more than 23 people, including actress Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty, Sushant Singh Rajput’s house manager Samuel Miranda and house help Dipesh Sawant.
Rhea Chakraborty was granted bail by the Bombay High Court on October 7 after spending 28 days in judicial custody. However, the bail plea of her brother, Showik Chakraborty, was rejected.
The entire case of Bollywood’s drug connections came to light after actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra residence on June 14, leaving behind many questions.
