Shivamogga: If communication field has to grow then more books on these field needs to be written. Both these books are a treasure trove as far as mass media and communication field is concerned, especially to students, said Prof. D. S. Poornananda.
He was speaking at the book launching programme of books in Kannada authored by Dr. Satish Kumar Andinje namely, Samooha Madhyama Samshodhane and Madhyama Loka on Wednesday September 1. The book covers topics such as journalism, folklore, literature, culture and also recent positive and negative developments in the journalism field. And the material on research is extremely lucid and thus understandable by all, he noted.
In his introductory address, Andinje said that many students in recent times are taking up research in Kannada and therefore in order to help them these books were authored.
Retired Professor of Sociology Vignesh N. Bhat released the books on the occasion.
