Puttur: A 10-day Combined Annual Training Camp for NCC Cadets commenced on December 3 at St Philomena College Puttur. The camp was organized by 19 Karnataka Battalion, Madikeri.
The Commanding Officer, 19 Karnataka Bettalion Col. Sanjay Dutta in his opening address said, “NCC has become instrumental in moulding the character and imparting dynamic outlook in our students during their school and college days”. He also instructed the cadets to make use of the time in an enjoyable manner.
On this occasion, Administrative Officer Col. Sanjay Apte, Camp Adjutant and NCC Officer of the College Lt. Johnson David Sequeira, Subedar Major V Hariprasad, First Officer Chethan K J of Government High School Siddapura, Second Officer B S Kotale of Government Pre University College Napoklu, Second Officer A G Ganesh of Government High School Murnad, Second Officer Venkataramana of Sainik School Koodige, First Officer Peter Naresh Lobo of St Philomena High School Puttur, CCG Priya of Virajapet, NCC officers and cadets from Puttur and Sullia Taluk of Dakshina Kannada district and from Coorg district were present.
